The Stirling Institute of Education

Initial Teacher Education (ITE)

The Stirling Institute of Education offers an Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programme, which runs concurrently as part of a first degree programme. If successfully completed, this programme leads to a primary or a secondary teaching qualification recognised by the General Teaching Council (GTC) for Scotland and by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF). The Stirling programme is the only one of its kind in Scotland.
