Criteria

Originality and contribution - to what extent does the work presented add to the existing body of knowledge?

Purpose - how well is the purpose stated, and how well is its importance discussed?

Knowledge of the appropriate field/s - to what extent does the presenter demonstrate their knowledge of their area/s, and the state of current understanding with regard to theory and research?

Methods and results - to what extent are the methods and analyses (qualitative or quantitative) appropriate, sound, and well-interpreted?

Conclusions - How well are the conclusions related to the theory and/or previous research?

Answering Questions - how well did the presenter answer questions from the audience?

Supporting materials - were the audio-visual aid/s of high quality, and how effectively were they used to communicate the research to the audience?

Presentation - did the presenter speak clearly and effectively?
